The Tallaght women’s team went to Athy with a team decimated by injuries and unavailability. They were duly hammered by seven tries to one, Ellen Crotty getting Tallaght’s only score.

Tallaght coach Adam Nolan was disappointed with the result. “It was a tough learning curve and we had to ask some very inexperienced players to play the whole game. But when we play this team again, hopefully we’ll be back to full strength and it will be a very different game.”
