Thank you to all the children, parents and coaches that took part in the TAKA.
We unfortunately didn’t win and Barnhall RFC scooped the well deserved first prize.
We have however been given a consolation prize of 10 new rugby balls which we hope to arrive in the coming days.
Again we did ourselves very proud and showed that Tallaght RFC are a real competitor on and off the field.
Our Youths section is growing every week and we have an action packed couple of months ahead.
new players are always welcome and we train on Sunday morning at 11am in Ballymana Lane. Contact details are available through the website.
Well Done
The Coaches of TRFC Mini & Youths
Thank you Lidl,
10 new rugby balls arrived last week, just in time to be used at the DLSP festival of tag rugby for players with special needs.
What a day, teams from Mullingar, Seapoint and De La Sale Parmerston participated on the first pitch in Kilternan.
The players were all ready and able to enjoy their matches. While it is important to have an element of competition its more important to have fun and fun we had.All the games were very tight and in fact they all ended in a draw, leading to the conclusion that everyone was a winner.
The day ended with a bar b q for the all present. The presentation of medals was preformed by no other that Joe Schmidt the head coach of the Irish team.
Thank you to the team at Lidl for sending us the rugby balls, it is very much appreciated. should anyone be interested in Tag rugby for players with special needs then please contact your local club to see if they have a program, if you are located near one of the above clubs please call now.
Regards
