About Tallaght Rugby
Tallaght Rugby Football Club was set up in 2002 as part of the “Tallaght Project”, an IRFU initiative designed to introduce rugby in non-traditional areas.
It initially started running underage teams and focused on introducing the game into schools in the area. In 2006 we set up our first senior team and since them we have gone from strength to strength.
This season (2024/25), our Senior Men’s team is competing in Leinster Metro League Division 6. The Senior Women’s team is competing in Leinster League Division 3.
Plus we have growing youths and minis teams. We have Under-8s mixed, Under-12s mixed, and Under-14 Boys as well as Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 Girls teams.

Tallaght Rugby Club is a community club and everyone is welcome to get involved whether as a player, coach or as a supporter. We’re always recruiting new players and everyone is welcome to come down to training, even if they have never played before. Many of our players only took up the game recently but they adapted quickly to the new game.
All newcomers welcome! Regardless of experience or fitness levels, everyone who’s interested is welcome to train with us.
