Fifth placed Tallaght took on fourth place Trinity College in Metro Division 6.

Tallaght were off the pace from the start and were 28-0 behind at half-time. In the second half Trinity extended their lead to 47-0. Alex Sadiku, Tallaght’s player of the match, scored a fine try off a break from Simon Collie. Out-half David Clarke scored a try with the final play of the game and Mark Kenny kicked the conversion to male the final score 47-12.

Tallaght head coach Adam Nolan summed up his team’s performance in one sentence: “Basically, we didn’t show up today!”.
