Lansdowne 40
Tallaght 0
Metro League Division 8

Tallaght took on Lansdowne away in Metro League Division 8.
The first twenty minutes were even enough as neither team really threatened to score. But Tallaght increasingly found themselves trapped in their own half and eventually Lansdowne scored two tries and converted one of them to take a 12-0 lead at halftime. Tallaght were competitive for a while in the second half without ever really looking like scoring. The likes of Mick Corrigan and Alex Sadiku tackled bravely but the wheels came off for Tallaght in the final quarter. Lansdowne took advantage by scoring four converted tries to make the final score 40-0.
Head coach Adam Nolan couldn’t hide his disappointment with his team’s performance. “That kind of performance wasn’t a surprise. We had a dismal turnout at training on Thursday so if we’re not prepared to put the work in, then we’re going to be getting hammered like that. Two weeks ago, we beat the Warriors so we can play in a higher league, but it’s like some lads thought that was the end of the season. We’ve Bective away in two weeks time and we need a big improvement in attitude if we want to be competitive in this league”.
