Tallaght take on Coolmine this Sunday the 8th of January in Malahide Rugby Club on Estuary Road looking to win the John Madden Cup, which would be the highest ranked trophy in the club’s history. Tallaght got to the final by thumping Malahide 52-20 and then winning a thrilling semi-final 26-25 against Railway Union. Coolmine got to the final by beating CYM 32-21 and then smashing Guinness 39-10 in their semi-final. Coolmine are a tough side who are in the division above Tallaght in the Metro League. But Tallaght will fancy their chances if they can get their running game going with their exciting backline and their mobile pack. Kick off is at three o’clock and hopefully a big crowd will make the trip across to support Tallaght as they try to to make club history.
