In a big weekend for Tallaght Rugby, there are two important games coming up for the men’s and women’s team.
Despite losing away to Old Wesley the Tallaght men’s team remain in the top two places which will qualify them for the final of the Metro League Division 7. Every time they’ve lost this season they’ve bounced back the next game and they need to do that again against a resurgent Parkmore team in their last home match of the season. Tallaght beat Parkmore comfortably earlier in the season but Parkmore have won two out of their last three and have gained some momentum so Tallaght will need to be at their best to win.
Saturday, the 18th of January
Tallaght v Parkmore, Tymon Park, 2.30 KO
The women’s team also have a massive game, at home to Old Belvedere in the semi-final of Leinster League Division 4. The team has made huge improvements throughout the season and finished in second place in their pool. They’re up against it against an experienced Belvo team, but under the captaincy of Maire Gilbourne, we know they will represent the club with pride.
Sunday, the 19th of January
Old Belvedere v Tallaght, Tymon Park, 1.00 KO
We hope as many members, friends and family of Tallaght RFC will come out to support both our teams this weekend.
